Fundamentalist (“we”, “us”) is a coding-practice product. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it. We do not sell personal information.

Account information

When you sign in with email or Google we store your Firebase user id, email address, display name, language preference, theme, and optional support contact details (first name, last name, phone). Progress, tutor transcripts, and generated lessons are stored under your user id in Firestore.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer id, subscription id, and subscription status so we can unlock paid lessons. Card numbers never touch our servers. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

Learning activity

Code you run is sent to our Cloud Functions and executed in an isolated Piston sandbox. Messages you send to the AI Assistant, plus the current lesson and editor context, are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. We do not use that content to advertise to you.

Analytics and session replay

We use PostHog for product analytics, error tracking, and session replay so we can see how the workspace is used and fix bugs. Replay masks form inputs. Event properties do not include your email, name, chat text, or source code. You can ask us to delete replay data by contacting support. We also use Google Analytics (gtag) for traffic and acquisition metrics.

Email

If you turn on practice reminders or send a referral invite, we send mail through Mailgun. Support messages go to our support inbox. You can disable reminders from the bell in the app header.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage for authentication, theme, layout preferences, PostHog, and Google Analytics. We do not run third-party advertising pixels.

Retention and your rights

We keep account and progress data while your account exists. You can ask us to export or delete your account by using the in-app support form. We may retain billing records as required by law.
